From the Klausnerberg saw through the Rantental. Shortly before the lake (1,878m) you turn right at a rock with a marterl and signpost towards Hinterkarscharte (path 702). Here we pass the Hinterkarsee. A little further on you turn towards Wind Schnurspitze - Pfarrstuhl. At a fork you could take a detour to the Pfarrstuhl (2,543m) or go back above the Wind Schnurspitze on path 793, past the Wiegenkarsee to path 702. Now continue to the Rantentörl (2,166m) and take the direct route to the Rantensee. On forest path no. 792 back to Klausnerberg-Säge.
The long valley route can be shortened with the valley bus (runs during the summer holidays).
For summiteers, a detour to the Pfarrstuhl should not be missed.
