Small Zirbitzkogel circuit

From Munich via the A8 in the direction of Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauern freeway to St. Michael im Lungau. Take the B96 to Tamsweg, then continue on the B95 to Predlitz. The B97 leads via Stadl an der Mur to Murau. There in the traffic circle direction St. Lambrecht to the Murau train station and further direction St. Lambrecht. Via Laßnitz near Murau you reach St. Lambrecht, which is already is the nature park. Continue towards Mariahof, there to Neumarkt, after Neumarkt an St. Marein turn left towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen to the village center. Behind the restaurant Hirschenwirt turn right towards Tonnerhütte. From there approx. 5,5km to the Tonnerhütte.

Arrival from Oberösterreich/Hungary

At the freeway junction in St. Michael bei Leoben take the S36 in the direction Klagenfurt. Pass Knittelfeld and Judenburg until Scheifling. In Scheifling continue in the direction of Klagenfurt to Neumarkt, via Unzmarkt and Perchau am Sattel you reach Neumarkt. Drive throught Neumarkt and St. Marein, then turn left towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen to the village center. Behind the restaurant Hirschenwirt turn right towards Tonnerhütte. From there approx. 5.5km to the Tonnerhütte.

Arrival from Italy

Via Klagenfurt on the S37 past St. Veit an der Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue towards Vienna, via Dürnstein andWildbad towards Neumarkt. After the Klamm and shortly before St. Marein turn right towards Mühlen. Follow the main road, then turn left to Mühlen. Behind the restaurant Hirschenwirt turn right towards the Tonnerhütte. From there about 5.5 km to the Tonnerhütte.
